
The United Tripura Correspondent Anupam Pal :The Krishi Swarna Samriddhi Week was inaugurated today at the Agricultural Science Centre in Fatikroy, Unakoti district of Tripura. The event was formally launched by the state’s Agriculture Minister, Ratan Lal Nath. Dedicated to farmers’ welfare, the program saw several initiatives by the state government that sparked enthusiasm among the farmers present.
During the event, 30,000 kilograms of high-quality potato seeds were distributed to 620 farmers. Additionally, 700 packets of vegetable seeds and various modern agricultural tools and equipment were provided to 300 farmers. The initiative aims to boost productivity and encourage the cultivation of high-quality crops, thereby benefiting the farming community.
The program was graced by the presence of Agriculture Minister Ratan Lal Nath, Fatikroy MLA and State Minister Sudhanshu Das, along with other public representatives. In his address, Minister Nath outlined the government’s goals, stating, “Our primary objective is to achieve self-reliance in the agricultural sector. We are working towards ensuring high-quality production in food grains, horticulture, and plantation crops.”

He further emphasized that the state government stands firmly by the farmers and will provide all necessary support. He also assured that new initiatives would be implemented to enhance farmers’ efficiency through advanced technology and modern practices.
Farmers attending the event expressed their appreciation for the government’s efforts. One farmer said, “We are delighted to receive high-quality seeds and modern equipment through this government initiative. These resources will help increase our production and improve our financial condition.”
To make the state self-sufficient in agriculture, the government is adopting innovative projects. In addition to increasing food production, emphasis is being placed on plantation crops and horticulture. According to Minister Nath, programs like this will strengthen the state’s economy and enhance the living standards of farmers.
