The Veergatha Project, jointly organized by the Ministry of Defence and Ministry of Education, has brought pride to Tripura. Among the 1.76 crore students from 36 states and Union Territories across India, four brilliant students from the state have made their mark.
These four bright stars of Tripura are Hridam Roy (Essay, Shri Krishna Mission School), Sagar Debbarma (Essay, Eklavya Model Residential School), Meghraj Debroy (Drawing, RKM School), and Ishika Shil (Poetry, Teliamura Higher Secondary School). Their exceptional creativity and talent have proven that Tripura’s soil is not only rich in greenery but also in limitless potential.
The Veergatha initiative, launched in 2021, aims to instill patriotism and respect for the Indian Armed Forces among the youth by showcasing the bravery and sacrifices of the soldiers. Through their essays, drawings, and poems, Hridam, Sagar, Meghraj, and Ishika beautifully highlighted the courage and sacrifices of the brave soldiers. Their contributions not only earned admiration but also placed Tripura on a pedestal of national pride.
These four students have not only won accolades but also demonstrated that dreams, even from a small state, can shine across the nation. Their creativity has inspired hope and enthusiasm among the people of the state, serving as a beacon of inspiration.
