
The United Tripura Anupam Pal Agartala: The 72nd plenary session of the North Eastern Council (NEC) commenced today at the Pragya Bhavan in Agartala, with the aim of fostering development and prosperity in the northeastern region. The session was inaugurated by the Union Minister for Home and Cooperation, Shri Amit Shah. Also present were the Minister for DoNER, Jyotiraditya Scindia, Minister of State for DoNER, Dr. Sukanta Majumdar, along with Governors and Chief Ministers of all northeastern states.
The session, attended by senior administrative officials, focuses on discussions surrounding economic development, infrastructure enhancement, effective utilization of youth power, and measures for environmental conservation in the region.
This plenary session is expected to establish a cohesive coordination between the administration of all northeastern states and the central government. Special emphasis is being laid on improving trade and security measures in border areas.
Experts believe that through this session, not only will current challenges be addressed, but significant guidance will also be provided for implementing future plans.
