United Tripura Correspondent Anupam Pal :On December 22, Union Home Minister Amit Shah will lay the foundation stone for the BJP’s new state office in Agartala, the capital of Tripura. The event will be held in the Nootan Nagar area of Agartala, and it will be attended by Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, State BJP President Rajib Bhattacharjee, and other senior party leaders.
Before the foundation stone-laying ceremony, a ‘Bhoomi Pujan’ ritual will be performed on the purchased land in accordance with Vastu Shastra. According to party sources, the current BJP state office will be converted into a district office once the new office is completed.
Additionally, Amit Shah will arrive in Agartala on December 20 to participate in the 72nd Plenary Session of the North Eastern Council (NEC). This session will be held on December 21 at Pragya Bhavan. As the NEC Chairman, Amit Shah will preside over the meeting, which will be attended by the Union Minister for Development of North Eastern Region Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, Dr. Sukanta Majumdar, Governors, Chief Ministers, and senior officials from the northeastern states.
Extensive preparations and security arrangements are underway across Tripura in anticipation of the Union Home Minister’s visit. Party sources have also hinted that Amit Shah may hold discussions on organizational matters with BJP leaders during his stay in the state.
