The Chndipur Block Youth Congress has filed a written complaint against Arup Dhar, president of the Unakoti District BJP Yuva Morcha, at Kailashahar police station. According to sources, the complaint was submitted to the Officer-in-Charge of Kailashahar police station around 10 p.m. on Friday.
The complaint states that Arup Dhar has repeatedly been making provocative and indecent remarks on social media targeting the Congress party and its leaders. Furthermore, he is allegedly attempting to create a divide between the Hindu and Muslim communities, raising concerns about the possible disruption of peace and communal harmony in Kailashahar.
The Youth Congress has alleged that during the recent Congress-called bandh, Arup Dhar referred to Congress supporters as “Bangladeshis” and “Rohingyas,” which they claim is a deliberate attempt to incite communal division.
The incident has sparked anger among district-level Congress leadership. They alleged that the BJP Yuva Morcha president’s remarks are not only an insult to the political opposition but also a deliberate attempt to create unrest in society.
In the petition submitted on behalf of the Congress, Abhijit Shil, vice-president of the Unakoti District Youth Congress, urged the police administration to take strict legal action against Arup Dhar.
