Correspondent Anupam Pal: On the occasion of the 50th birthday of the Minister of Social Welfare and Social Education of the state government, Tinku Roy, the Chandipur Mandal Committee of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha organized a remarkable program. A blood donation camp was held today at the Kailashahar Press Club.
The event was graced by the minister, Tinku Roy, accompanied by his wife. The camp began with the blood donation of his wife, Shankari Debroy. Several notable figures, including Bimal Kar, member of the Zilla Parishad, Arun Saha, District General Secretary, and Bablu Deb, President of the Chandipur Mandal Yuva Morcha, participated in this noble initiative.
Before the blood donation camp, the minister distributed winter clothing among tea workers in the morning. Later, he visited the Chinnamasta Kali Temple in Keertantali, Chandipur constituency, where a grand yajna was organized to mark his birthday. This was followed by the distribution of prasad to nearly two thousand people.
Additionally, the minister distributed prasad at Murti Chhara Mahamaya Temple, Kali Shasan Bhavatarini Temple, and Manu Valley Kali Temple. Throughout the day, he toured various areas of the Chandipur constituency and distributed fruits, sweets, and clothes to the underprivileged.
As a gesture of appreciation for the blood donation initiative, the Kailashahar Blood Donors Association President Anupam Pal and Advisory Committee member Sanjeev Choudhury presented the minister with a commemorative memento. Furthermore, the Secretary of the Kailashahar Press Club, Sukanta Chakraborty, senior member Charukrishna Kar, and other members honored the minister with floral bouquets and ceremonial scarves for this noble endeavor.
