With the core belief that “Education is the backbone of the nation”, the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) of Chandipur Mandal organized the third edition of the student felicitation program titled “Nab Swapner Udaan 2025” (The Flight of New Dreams). Initiated in 2023, this program has already become a significant social initiative—not just recognizing academic excellence but also aiming to inspire the future generation and instill a sense of national consciousness.
The event began with the symbolic release of the dove of peace into the open sky, conveying a universal message of harmony. Held at the Srirampur Swami Vivekananda Bhavan, the program witnessed the presence of prominent political figures. On stage were Chandipur MLA and Minister Tinku Roy, BJYM State President and MLA Sushanta Deb, BJP District President Bimal Kar, BJYM District President Arup Dhar, BJYM State Spokesperson Amlan Mukherjee, Mandal President Pintu Ghosh, and local Panchayat Samiti Chairperson Shampa Das Pal.
Chandipur Yuva Morcha Mandal President Babul Deb stated that this initiative goes beyond a ceremonial felicitation. It is a social message in itself—acknowledging the hard work, dedication, and focus of the students while affirming that the Yuva Morcha stands by them now and in the future.
In his address, MLA Sushanta Deb not only aimed to motivate the students but also highlighted deeper social issues. He urged the youth to steer away from addiction, child marriage, and the growing culture of elderly neglect. He also emphasized the importance of showing respect and gratitude to elders and parents as part of core values.
Minister Tinku Roy shed light on the positive transformations underway in the state’s education sector. He noted that with the implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP), various cultural and creative activities—such as music, yoga, drama, and recitation—have been introduced in schools across the state. Furthermore, every library in the state has been revitalized, with the government investing ₹10 crore in new books. For school infrastructure development, ₹33 crore has been allocated for institutions like Ramakrishna School, Bhadrapalli Higher Secondary School, and Ram Kamal H.S. School.
He also spoke about the “CM Sath Scheme”, launched to support economically disadvantaged students. Under this scheme, students in secondary and higher secondary levels receive a monthly assistance of ₹5,000 for three years. Special provisions have also been made for visually impaired and differently-abled students. In addition, schemes like the Pre-Matric Scholarship and “Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao” have played a vital role in supporting the education and healthcare of girl children.
The program also spotlighted the progress of girls in the sports sector. Even from remote areas like Golokpur Tea Garden, young girls are now making their mark at national-level sporting events—an indicator of the state’s forward strides in social development.
On this day, around 300 students from various schools under the Chandipur Assembly constituency—who successfully passed their secondary and higher secondary examinations—were felicitated. Alongside those securing First and Second Division, the top ten meritorious students from both levels received special honors and gifts.
