United Tripura Ambassa Anupam Pal:In a joint operation by Assam Rifles and Ambassa Police in the Ambassa area of Dhalai district, 189 kilograms of dry marijuana have been seized. The estimated international market value of the contraband is approximately Rs 85 lakh. A Bolero vehicle (registration number AS-01-BD-2309) used for transporting the drugs was also intercepted during the operation.
Two individuals have been apprehended in connection with the case. The seized marijuana, vehicle, and the detainees have been handed over to the Ambassa Police for further investigation. It has been reported that the accused will be presented in court tomorrow.
This successful operation by the authorities serves as a significant example of stringent action against drug trafficking. The efforts of Assam Rifles and Ambassa Police underscore their commitment to creating a drug-free society.
